Psst... Mr. Churchill has just forwarded a very exclusive invite... just for you!

Next Friday, on the 13th May, The Churchill War Rooms will be holing a Museums at Night celebration. It kicks off at 6pm and will run till 10pm.

"What will be happening inside?!" I hear you cry Well, just to tempt you...

You'll be able to get in the mood with authentic music of the era, visit the Vintage Boudoir where a team of forties fashion experts (including Jeni, Lisa, Fleur and Naomi.) will be on hand to transform you. Why not sample a 1940s up do, or try a touch of rouge? There will even be a dressing up box complete with period clothes and accessories to try on. When you’re transformed, make sure you have your picture taken by the original No.10 Downing Street door in the Churchill Museum.

You can even have a natter with the Museum Director and pick his brain about the great wartime leader and those who want to find out more about the historically significant site can join one of the informal guided tours taking place throughout the evening, these I highly recommend, I only visited for the first time a couple of weeks ago and couldn't quite believe I've never been before, it's a truly magical Museum, and this event promises to be a special evening. I'll be there with the girls helping out, so if you can make it, it would be wonderful to meet you :)

Sounds great fun! I love the idea of having my photo taken outside 'number 10'!

That sounds like a lot of fun! Too bad I'm on the other side of the Atlantic ... a bit far to go for an evening out! LOL

Pft, I wish I'd known about this earlier. It's my birthday on the 13th and this would have been a great weekend away!

Sadly I already booked tickets for something else, which I'm sure will be fun, but booo :o(
