I'm so sorry I've been such a bad blogger but I've been so down in the mouth recently it's been hard to write with any gusto.
However, I'm starting to perk up, partly because I've been harbouring a few secrets which can now, slowly, begin to come out into the open... but only slowly mind you!
Secret number 1:
Puttin' On the Ritz have just posted a sneak peek of their "Weekend in the Country" suit, "Lllian" blouse and "Lady Swinburn" stole... all modelled by... me! I went to Lurgashall in West Sussex for the piccies, it's a really pretty village with a smashing pub! No I was not drunk when modelling as I needed to look as snooty and prim and proper as possible (I did enjoy a good G & T afterwards though! Yes, I was the brunt of a few stares and the barman called me Mam... I felt rather special!)
The "Lady Swinburn" stole is available from the store now. Other items, well, you'll have to watch Ritz Towers' blog to stay in the loop!
Secret number 2:
Watch this space. but I'll give you a clue...
Secret number 3:
A happy and super surprise prize from a very talented scribbler.
Also, holiday posts... one dating back to last November! (I wrote it and forgot to publish it... but it shall appear soon!)
Thanks you so much for your kind word after my last post, and for bearing with me.
Hope you're all grand!
G xx

wow you look amazing, very prim! glad you are feeling perkier!
I was on Twitter earlier and saw Puttin on the Ritz say they had some new stuff and then there you were!! Wow fab modelling!
just saw your smashing modelling images over at Ritz Towers. Perfectly posh!!! xoxo
Oooooooooooh! Looking lovely! Hmmmmm.... clue 3? Cake and flowers? I wonder....
How exciting! The photos are fabulous! You look so glamourous in the stole!
Fab pic! You look lovely. Looking forward to the next secret :) xx
you look so pretty in that outfit
wow!
I'm in love with that stole and methinks might have to order one - we are just coming into winter down under.
Thanks Gemma for your lovely comment on my sadly neglected blog. The Sound of Butterflies should be widely available in the UK (Amazon perhaps the best bet as its been out for a few years now) although sadly Magpie Hall has not yet been picked up outside of NZ (except in Russia, so if you can read Russian...) but my agent is working on it. I'd be happy to send you a copy if you leave a comment (which I won't publish) on my blog. I am planning a vintage murder mystery for my next novel so if you like my books I'd love to pick your brains at some point!
Best
Rachael
Ello, thank you all so much for your lovely comments and feedback. Twas rather was odd seeing pics of myself on a website and someone elses blog (well, ones that weren't of me with a bottle of wine in my hand etc. If you know what I mean?!)
I rather enjoyed looking snooty, think I'll go about looking snooty all the time, maybe I'll be treated differently? "Yes Mam, no Mam!" (or maybe folk wil think I'm a grumpy cow!)
xx
