I decided to take my woolly navy 1930s frock complete with red beret for a spin (excuse the poor pics, I had no one to photo me today, but I've taken pics of the details)
Navy pin stripe with floral collar and cuffs and a cinnabar bracelet
Lovely deco pleats, Burgundy tights and my Revamp shoes
I love the detail on the collar
Feeling happy and warm in my regalia, I went to east Dulwich this morning. It's a lovely corner of South East London with some fab shops... some can be rather pricey, but are jolly good for window shopping!
I went to my fave sweet shop "Hope and Greenwood" if you remember buying sweeties by the ounce and from jars, go here, it's like stepping into sugar coated heaven!

Flying saucers and some sugar mice for me please!
I also looked at the lovely florist, as an ex florist I still miss working with plants, wish this shop was mine...
I then bought a bath bun (my favourite bun like treat) and went to eat it whilst sitting in Horniman Museum gardens. The Autumn sun was shining and I had a good swoon over the gorgeous dahlias...
Yummy!
My Grandad was a prize winning dahlia grower... these remind me of him
The Horniman museum
I'm feeling a bit better already :)

gosh I bet you do, that looks like a lovely start to a few days off!
Oh, that is a BEAUUUUTIFUL dress. The sweetest floral collar! I Love your use of color with the beret and tights. So stylish! By the way, an extremely generous giftie arrived for me on Friday. I don't know how to thank you!!!!!!!
You are too perfect in that dress, young miss! Is the collar a crepe?
Hope you feel better soon…
Thank you for stopping by...You looked delightfully lovely in the photo.glad it was a good day.
Gorgeous dress! I hope you enjoy your days off, I love spending time to myself. I haven't been to the Horniman before, the gardens look fab. I've still got some dahlias in my garden still hanging on, they are one of my favourites too.
Thank you for your very kind offer, I would love a copy of the hat! My e mail address is ladycherryloves@yahoo.co.uk - I couldn't see one on your profile, if you want to drop me a line we can sort out how to do it. Thank you ever so much! x
You look wonderful darling! Gorgeous frock, sweets and flowers, what more does a dame need to cheer herself up?x
Sounds like a perfectly lovely way to spend the day. Your outfit is amazing too. My favourite vintage colour combination is dark blue and red, just perfect for the autumn.
Thank you for all your lovely comments. It is indeed a crepe collar, I believe the dress is light weight wool, it looks like a waffle sort of texture
